Cm error while updating java
So, deleting the .settings folder would have resolved the Maven error, but I wanted to keep some of my local configuration files.
I resolved the conflict, then tried a Maven update again and it worked. Null Pointer Exception at com.google.appengine.maven. Gae Runtime Gae Runtime(Gae Runtime Manager.java:85) at com.google.appengine.maven.
Then I found this solution online and it worked for us on the first shot: - Uninstall Java 8 - Install Java 6 Whatever the reason, with Java 6, the error went away, we uninstalled the program, and re-installed Java 8.
I had same mistake, it was produced because i had disabled the creation of "_jvm" in the Install Anywhere (project - JVM settings - Installer Settings - Bundled/Downloaded Virtual Machine), then into file "Uninstall $PRODUCT_NAME$.lax" into uninstall folder, the variable "current.vm" is empty.
Apparently I had at some point launched eclipse from an administrator console by mistake. In my case it seems to be caused by a bad jar file combined with the zip libs not throwing a proper exception, just a Null Pointer Exception.
Checking this out on the file system revealed that the file could only be accessed with administrator privileges.
The program trying to install this program is Install Anywhere, but I can't seem to find any documentation about this error.
The dialogue box name when the crash happens is Launch Anywhere I was just wondering if anyone had seen this kind of error before and if so, how to solve it.
Since you can not change the installer you could try to install a 32bit VM just for the installation time.
Once the ARToolkit is installed, I guess you could just switch back (reinstall) to 64 VM and maybe all is still running ;-).
